Hell yeah... man I wish I didn't sell it but just had no where to park it when we moved to QLD. Here are pics from my carsales FS ad when we left. We will be moving back to Adelaide next year so look forward to meeting up with the Adelaide Liberty crew next year.

I bought Jim's SPT high flow air intake... as usual with my exceptional DIY skills it took me probably three times as long as the average person but got there in the end. Didn't quite have the right tool to remove one of the bolts holding the airbox down so that took longer than expected... then it was a bit of fiddling to make it sit nicely. I don't know how tight I should do those clamps at the turbo inlet but I think they won't move at this stage. Took it for a quick spin and enjoyed the noise! Reminded me a bit of the GC8 STi ... I doubt that there are any real power gains but the turbo seems to spool quicker and the car feels a little bit more responsive but it's probably just me wanting to hear the effects at the end of the day!

As for the possible planned car pc and/or android tablet pc mod, I will think about it a little more but it might be in the too hard for very little overall gain basket...

And yes I know I know, the engine bay needs a good detail...

Edit: Seems to be mixed reviews for this on the legacygt forums (main complaint being it is difficult to tune because of the location of the MAF sensor). Oh well, it will be a while until I tune the car so will have a bit of fun with it for now and not get too fussy regarding the reviews. Time to purchase the heat shield

Took advantage of Redline Goods sale and a FB voucher and bought some perforated black leather with JDM red stitch to match the DAMD wheel. Install was pretty straight forward even for someone like myself - except the last photo shows what happens with perforated leather, superglue and no gloves.

Very happy with the goods and the final install appearance. Might have to consider the JDM red stitch gear knob and then the appearance mods should be done for now (driveway too steep to buy the STi front lip).

Edit: Used superglue for the gear shift surround... double sided tape may be good enough? My only tip is if you are a very particular person to line up the stitch lines first and stick those down prior to glueing/sticking the rest of the surround down. One of my stitch lines doesn't quite run into the corner - doesn't bother me too much since the surround is slightly asymmetrical.

Thanks guys. It goes well with the wheel! Tek and a few others on the forum got me onto them. Delivery was about ten days from time of order. Lots of colour, stitching and material options too. Great price at the moment as well.

Was stuffing around with the HU tonight - Eclipse AVN4400. I'd seen Loweart's previous install and his install looked much more flush than mine. Northfields had done the original install but the HU stuck out about 1/2cm... always bothered me but had never been game enough to try to reposition it. However, after the redline goods install and seeing how easy the pieces popped out, I took a punt tonight and took out the head unit and repositioned it back so it sits nice and flush. A small change, but definitely looks a lot better. Dropped one screw, but thankfully found it (after a few unsavoury words here and there). I also discovered that the HU had a red illumination function - now the interior lights all match! Again another small change but an improvement I think... you know what they say, the little things can make you happy. There is an aux in option which I might experiment with - am thinking possible digital radio or even a 7 inch android tablet if I feel adventurous.

Looking good with the Eclipse. That white background really stands out, how is it driving with that? Have you thought about changing it?

The shift boot looks really bunched up; did you order stock size and you have fitted a short shifter?

I noticed when I bought one I asked for 1" shorter to suit the 1" shorter short shifter and it was still too long. I wrote back to them and suggested that their template was wrong because I had to trim an extra 0.5" off at least, so it looks like they haven't changed anything since then!

I didn't put the old and new ones side by side but eyeballing it it looks similar to previous... don't have a short shifter but am getting one soon (but the STi version that doesn't change the length of the gearstick). I don't mind the bunched up appearance so much. But you'r'e right, there is room to move and trim off excess if you don't want that appearance. The handbrake covers are identical.

Looking good with the Eclipse. That white background really stands out, how is it driving with that? Have you thought about changing it?

It's not too bad in the flesh. Turned up the contrast and sharpness in that photo to emphasize the red lights. It does dim with the headlights and at night automatically (has a light sensor). I haven't thought about changing the background - don't know if it's possible but might go through the manual. If it's distracting I turn the screen off or go to the GPS night mode.
