Jelly Suspension

Hey guys i have a 2005 Liberty GT.
it has stock 18" spec B wheels and it is lowered 2inches
my question is why do these cars feel like the suspension is jelly, im scared to turn fast corners because it feels like something will break or the car will roll
do all libertys have that feeling? im comparing this to the feel of a impreza WRX (im aware they are 2 totally different cars).

Agreed they do drive like jelly, when compared to other vehicles that are better setup and smaller in dimension, however there are ways to sort it out. Ie swaybars, coilovers etc etc, but the vast improvement will come from a change in driving style and approach

I described my old GT set up like a big cushion that used to be unpredictable and doing high degree turns, the momentum kick used to act as jelly, now with coilovers sway bars strut bar its alot better and controlled. Now to do control arm bushes from phat to get it even better.

It's your stock suspension with super low springs which is killing it. Roll center geometry is all messed up as well due to being so low. It's ironic but lowering your car can make it roll more due to this.

Guess it's all an issue of perspective (and some technical points as highlighted by teK)

You might complain about the suspension, but it ain't no Camry!

Reasons are because they aren't a sports car, and therefore are not set up like one. Also, they are alot heavier than a WRX so they will get more weight shift, body roll etc.
