Haha all good man.

I never really appreciated how good those coilovers were, until I put the billies in. It was only then I realised how comfy and controlled the ride was. Billies with pinks are less than.. Spectacular to say the least haha. None the less I've already got a new set of springs in transit to me from the US so I'll see how they go. If not, I may be in the market for coilovers again.

Anyways back on topic, glad you're enjoying them mate.

Darren.

Did you buy the top mount intercooler direct from AVO? or is there somewhere else you can get it cheaper?

G'day Nick,

Got my TMIC from seller on Legacy forum US, it was brand new in box, never installed and even with freight from US was cheaper than AVO Oz.

From memory they were selling for $840 plus shipping from eastern states at the time.

Happy hunting!

Laurie

How do you find the AVO TMIC? Is it a good bolt on fit?

It looks pretty OEM in the matt finish and i believe a little bit of the Engine cover has to be cut?

Trying to decide between the AVO and the Hyperflow. I know the hyperflow has a bigger core but im only using it in conjunction with the stock turbo and just wanted that little bit extra cooling for the summer.

nah, straight bolt on...a bit of trimming off the engine cover was all...oh and a bit fiddling around to get the back two bolts of engine cover lined up...otherwise all good.

avo does the job well...running it with a vf52 and relatively conservative tune....pulls hard with no heat problems.

recommend avo....but if was doing it again I would def look hard at a process west tmic, even with unresolved splitter issue, it looks the goods.

just throwing it out there Dwayne

cool action II intake

Postby t.renshaw34 » Mon Sep 26, 2011 8:53 pm

hey there :).

was just looking at your profile and noticed you had a after market inlet scoop on the inside of your bonnet going onto the intercooler.

was woundering

1, where you got it from?
and 2, think it helps much?

have seen a few around but cant seem to find one and trying to work out if they are worth it or not.

kind regards
Taylor :)

G'day Taylor,

it's a zero sports cool action ll splitter to replace the oem one, got it from a member on here, Arith.

zero sport is now defunct, I believe? so you might have to shop around for one or look out for a second hand one.

there is a thread on here where someone has found a few zero sport products...check that out.

I believe it does channel more air more evenly on the tmic than the oem splitter and every bit helps on a hot summer's day, especially in Perth.

cheers
Laurie
