Gen 3 ignition light

Postby talev788 » Thu May 05, 2011 8:54 pm

For some reason the light from my ignition is no longer working.
Does anyone know the correct way of removing the top half of the steering thingy so i can replace the bulb?
I can remove the bottom half no problem but then i'm sorta stuck

The shroud/s?
Undo the screws from underneath, take of the bottom section.
Drop the steering column all the way down and the top pops off - held on by a couple of ordinary clips.

Faulty wiring perhaps? Did the new globe even work for a second? If it at least flicked on then maybe there is a short and it is over powering the globe.

Use a test light for power in the wires, also LEDs only work one way (must have positive and negative the right way around), whereas normal globes are bipolar.
