Supercharger perlim results - SCv0

Postby west_minist » Fri Apr 29, 2011 9:43 pm

review http://xtremeracingtuning.com/forum/vie ... 1096#p1096 for notes.

Results are preliminary. Very very early.
max boost was up to 4+psi, non 100% throttle, IAT=72C avg, IAM=0.8. Again results are so prelim, but only post to show as info. Please treat it as that.

Am I reading this wrong?
It gained 8kw with the SC?

Boost is set low for safe tuning by Raptor. Once all is good, the pulley wheel will be change out to one that will allow boost to 6-7psi at redline. Remember its not a turbo response but a very linear boost climb.

Yeah no worries, so I just wanted to make sure I was reading it right.
I totally understand that this is still in the very early stages and I hope you guys get the most out of it. Keen to give Mark a run for his money when he finally gets the SC, modded turbo vs H6 SC!
Can't wait to hear how he justifies it to his wife.

Lol. hahaahahah. Yeah the wifey. lol

On another note, the turbo will beat out the SC is it can come in early and boost hold to the redline. There is nothing choking the SC exhaust system like the improper choice of turbine housing for a 3L flow. Either way, a SC drive is so much linear and smooth. I wish I could feel it. Well such is life!!!

I was caught looking at the supercharger threads last night, the one with the recent photo of the NT install. She said, "You are not considering that are you, it looks ugly". When I said it was only 6K she walked away laughing.

I contacted edward after reading all the good feedback from people that had their cars tuned. I've noticed immediate improvements in throttle response with light applications, and especially with the v1 rom, it feels like it pulls stronger from low rpm. I'm happy with the gains so far, and edward has been very helpful getting me set up!
