Suspension and Front LCA Bushes installation

Postby DevPro » Fri Apr 29, 2011 11:00 am

Ok, so I have ordered the entire Bilstein package from Paul at Wheelpower in Sydney. Hopefully this arrives early next week. I have also ordered the front lower control arm bushes from PHAT. Both really helpful and informative guys, many thanks.

Now to installation. I AM technically minded, but have never worked on cars before, plus I don't really have the equipment to do the job (ie - a jack or supports of any kind!!) so I am at a bit of a loss. I have rang Pedders suspension here in Ringwood (VIC) and they quoted $566 to install everything and do a wheel alignment. I've got nothing to go by really, but to me that sounds a little steep!

So is there anyone in Melbourne with the knowledge to help me out here, or at least point me in the right direction?

Funniest part being that PHAT writes on the packaging for each bush exactly where it's supposed to go.
You would have to be a complete fucking moron to get it wrong....

I had mine done by a local workshop (I didn't have the time or inclination to do it myself at that stage even though I am a mechanic by trade). From memory it was about $250 including the wheel alignment, so your quote sounds very high.
