RAPTOR SUPERCHARGER FOR LIB 3.0

MH3.0R

Yes its all getting sorted and goes in, some minors will be made but there isnt anything stopping these first 2 kits going on now

I have an issue with some hose I supplied to the customers being overly small to fit the SC intake but thats being rectified ASAP and the actual change means the charger will have more available air flow than planned which will be of benefit later down the track as pressures are increased and additional flow is required.

Thanks Tradewind,

And I don't mind if you use my real name, Mark. I am watching now with interest and most probably will be for at least a year to see how it all comes together for the pursuit of 3.0R power. Interested to see what other mods are undertaken in parallel or to supplement the SC kit.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Yep thats my car. S/C kit is now off. Proper install will probably be in a couple of weeks, need a new intake pipe and also got to remedy a couple of things..

WILL keep you in the loop once done.

Hey G,

You need to start a Project Thread in the Post Your Mods area so we can have lots of details and pics for future reference. I will be following for sure. Are you doing the work yourself or do you have a good tuner/mechanic on the project?

Kind Regards,

Mark.

My mechanic will do the install of the pump & injectors while i get to work on the s/c kit, then a slow drive down to the tuner to get her going nicely.

G thats fantastic that you have the ball rolling and a plan in place.
Still I would love to have a look cause I am very keen to do the same what you have done.
Can I ask who is your mechanic and who will tune this for you ?
Also where did you get the injectors from ?

Question for the info types

It is said that the conrod length of the 3.6 engine is shorter than the 3.0 engine? Is this true?

If so it is then suspected that the 3.6 conrod maybe slightly stronger than in the 3.0 engine. Thoughts on this?

I see the 3.6 is different in this aspect also

The 3.6 features Improved cooling efficiency – needed to achieve the use of regular fuel – was achieved through a new common rail cooling system that individually cools each cylinder with water separation chambers rather than allowing water to flow from cylinder to cylinder. This allows for increased engine efficiency and standardized timing for all cylinders.

Thanks Mike!

In the Liberty, the 3.0R was first sold in 2003 (MY04) thru to 2005 (MY06). The 3.0 litre H6 was also previously sold in the Outback for several years, but not sure if they are the same engine. Probably not as it used to be a bit milder, around 150Kw, compared to the 3.0R which was 180Kw (and just a tad short of 200Kw est. with a V-Tune :D ).

The EZ30 is the first gen 3.0 Motor. No AVCS, No AVLS. Single exhaust port heads.

The EZ30R is the second gen 3.0 Motor. AVCS, AVLS, Three exhaust port heads.

The EZ36 is the new first gen 3.6L motor, based on the EZ30R. New heads, new block
