Grille Mesh...

Postby blkdog » Thu Apr 14, 2011 1:05 pm

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where i can get mesh similar to what i have on my grille (see shitty photo) in Melbs?
I would like to whack some into my front spoiler. On a recent trip to Yarrawonga i discovered that locusts and other assorted creatures like to wedge them selves into my lower radiator, mesh should protect and look cool as a bonus. Pre thanks if anyone can help. BTW to badge or not to badge a few of my work colleagues are shitty that i de-badged the grill... what are your thoughts?

You could ask MH3.0R as he mod'd his own grille and picked up mesh similar..... On the topic of locists, do you think it is worth me buying a mesh sheet thing for the front as I am driving up to Mildura next week?

Just buy some plastic flywire screen and tape it over the bumper and grill openings.

My car was totally covered inside that area by Locusts when I went up in November. It don't think it's that bad now though.

Thanks for the info. I checked the honey-comb option looks sweet but a bit exy. Super cheap auto have some mesh 1200x250mm in black for $30 (Thanks, Weerty). I'll use this option for now. The honey-comb i'll get later i think. As for Locusts they are still around i copped about 10 in my radiator and a 5 in my grille, watch out for dragonflies too they are everywhere for some reason?
