Hi all

Hi all,

I live in Sydney, previous owned an 06 Liberty 2.0R which we sold after 6 months as the wife got sick of a manual. We got an 06 Honda auto civic to replace the liberty.

Now that we have outgrown the civic and that we have had it for 4.5 years time to change again.

Last week I placed the order for a new Liberty GT auto wagon. We should be picking it up next weekend if all goes well. Cant wait to get it.

Not many people around here like the look of the GenV, so they might be holding their tongues!

Welcome anyway :D

Welcome mate,

I happen to quite like the look of the gen v wagons now, they have grown on me. :)

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the forum.

Hey mate, welcome.

I might be a bit biased but the GenV wagon is a great looking car. What colour did you order? IMO, the light silver (my colour steel silver), the dark silver, and the black are the best looking choices. Let me know when you get it and want to do the Sat Nav hack.

Enjoy mate.

Thanks all. I am in Hornsby, Sydney.

I have ordered the Graphite Grey.

Regarding the Sat Nav Hack, I saw that on another post in the forum and I am very keen on that. Is it hard to get that front fascia cover off? That looks to be the most difficult part of it? Once installed do Subaru actually notice the hack when it is being serviced?

The dash fascia trim is relatively easily pulled off. As long as you are careful and know what you are doing. Just please, don't use a screw driver, you will hack your dash up badly. Order yourself a set of trim removal tools off eBay for about $15.

I doubt whether Subaru would notice when they are servicing the car. They don't need to go for a drive and watch a DVD.
