Sold my 99 WRX 2 days ago and bought #007 Obsidian Black Pearl, Sedan, 6MT, Charcoal Rims.
Rex was heavily modified and swore to myself I'd never go down that path again.... Was a stupid vow.....
Loving it so far and trick now is to slip a few mods on without missus knowing.
Thinking chip, CAI, and exhaust...

I just sold my 06Wrx STi and bought myself #52/300 MY07 GTSpecB Sti, Silver Sedan w/silver rims 5AT no mods (yet!!!!!!)

I was a previous owner of a 2005 GT manual, and sold it coz i was spending too much money trying to make it go fast (hence the purchase of the rexy i just sold).

Hopefully not another money pit... (clearly I'm still in denial)

Welcome to the STi owners list. Clearly you're in denial. At least temporarily. I too purchased my STi with no intention to mod. That last a whole 3 months. Good luck to you, sir.

Hahah, busted. Surely changeing an ECU over doesn't count does it? I just got off the phone from Rob at Ultrex too... Had the car for 2 whole days. Damn it.

Hi James,
Was behind your STI on Wednesday this week on Welshpool Road before you turned left. In a white bug eye STI. Nice looking set of wheels you have there.
Have been thinking myself about going from the WRX to a Liberty STI or GT B Spec. Love the WRX but thinking of something a little more refined/comfortable but still with the sting in the tail.
For those who have gone from a WRX, especially an STI to the Liberty, do you have any regrets, or wished you hadn't, other relevant comments/observations?
Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob
Ahh Yes, I saw you there behind me (for a while, until you passed me ;) Ive always had liberties (onto my fourth) so probably not the best person to ask that question. Having said that, the fact that this is my second Gen4 GT probably suggests that Im happy with the car :)

If you ever want to take a closer look/drive Rob, PM me

Thanks for the offer. I had a 92 RS Liberty about 3 or so years back with a VOS chip and some other bits and pieces. Went pretty well and rode better than the Rex even though it was lowered also. I expect the more recent Liberties are are better ride all round.

Here is a pic of the old girl.
