Should I respray

Postby coutso » Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:55 am

Just brought a My05 Liberty 3.0L R in a burgundy red colour. Really considering getting it resprayed black or like a gun metal grey colour.
Opinions? Potential paint shops to get it done in Melbourne at a reasonable price?

I am also considering leaving it and just going with a black and burgundy colour scheme. Could look good?

Why did you buy a red if you didn't like it... Repainting properly is a VERY expensive process

Do you Plan on taking each panels off and taking out the engine or will you have a grey body and a red engine bay?

Personally, if your going to respray the car the car to a standard colour (Black, silver, etc) then I wouldn't waste your time.

If you were going to go something completely different, then that's a different story.

Just bare in mind the costs to do the job properly can be rather high. If the colour is changed, then the door jams, etc etc etc will need to be done. Depending on the paint you choose & the person doing the work, I wouldn't expect to get much change from approx 12K.

Hahah yeah... just kind of posted it out there with out even taking into consideration the magnitude of the job.
I'll be happy keeping it the same colour and getting a new grille and a few other little cosmetics.

BTW anyone know of a good grille to fit on a MY05 2004 Lib 3.0L R? I know this would have been posted but all I find are grilles for the 2.5Ls and so on.
I need help!

The Corazon looks great on the pre-face lifts.
