Suspensions to suit wheels ??

Postby LibertyWA » Fri Mar 11, 2011 12:42 am

Hey all,

I am planning to change my wheels and suspensions.
After heaps of searching, I have narrowed to three wheels, Tenzo cuzco V1 19" +45, Enkei GTC01 18" and O.Z racing Ultraleggera 18".
Apparently, Tenzo's on a great deal from USA (more than half cheaper than the other two).
And Tenzo 19" weigh about 11kg whilst the other two weigh around 9 kg.
Would you recommend Tenzo over the other two considering the price??

For supensions, I'm thinking of getting the famous Spec.B bilsten suspension.
Would there be a huge 4WD gap between the wheel and the guard ??
Would I have to get other springs to lower the car further ??

Any info would be very much appreciated,, :D

Cheers,
Paul

Personally wouldn't touch Tenzo's are they are a knock off company as far as I'm aware... Like many things in life, you get what you pay for.

Bilsteins will be fine, but with your larger rims (If you don't want that 4x4 look) I'd be looking at some Tein S techs or Eibach springs to lower the car nicely.

E-mail Phat GT as he'll be able to look after you with the springs & also maybe able to get you a better price on the rims as well.

^^^

When it comes to rims & cosmetic parts, it's a very personal thing. So although I would suggest you stick will a well know brand such as OZ, Enkei, BBS, Work etc etc etc, you still need to be happy with the over all look.

As I said, just take into consideration you do get you pay for... When something looks the same but is half the price, there is generally a reason for it.
