You think you hear the sub bass, mid bass and highs now, wait until the speakers are worn in and loosened up. Then you will really notice a difference. Now is the most exciting time I reckon for a new install, you have the initial happiness and excitement of a new install and you will only get happier with it as the sound improves. Take it easy on the splits and the subs for a little while, don't hammer them just yet.

Again, congrats mate, you have a very well thought out and installed SQ system. I love to hear about successful professional installs. It truly makes me wonder why on earth people get installs done at JB Hifi etc. You really do get what you pay for!

Oh yeah, if you keep smelling your new gear, you may be driving them a bit too hard lol.

I'm thinking simply some black metal bars just to match the whole box heheh and also two nice handles just to make removing the box easier heheh

Cant wait to hear it after 100hrs.. By then it should be at full potential :D

Yeah honestly, it took me months n months in search of the best installer in Sydney. Drove to "Pro" installers all over Sydney to see their work, but none was as passionnant as Marty.
Went to many forums and EVERY enthusiast recommended FHRX. Now i know why.
Got the car back in a cleaner condition than i took it there (guessing all the dust from the workshop got on to it ehehehh), they fully washed the car and conditioned the tyres!!! Awsome service... Some people say they charge too high of a premium but i reckon its well worth it. You know they take special care of it and dont rip your car apart. Everything is made then installed onto the factory bolts.

All in all, Fhrx would be the only installer i now take to... regardless of car :) :)

Yeeeeeah...

I'm jelly :(

Wish we had an installer like that over in Perth!

That install looks so damn nice! Even the cables are placed carefully and neatly everywhere.
Loving the box design in the back, kind of like an entertainment unit :P

Every install should be done like this. However, with the amount of cheap installers (Strathfield, JB Hifi and the likes) and backyard installers ("yeah, my mate can chuck it in for me. His brother is an auto electrician so he knows what he is doing and he will do it for a carton") around have made it somewhat of a lost art. It's only when you see a loom of cable done properly by a proper installer you realize what the car audio install industry has come to.

You can always send your car over to Sydney "FHRX" or Melb "Phatt Audio Concepts". People from all over Australia send their cars to these guys to get it installed =]

hehehhe yeah every install SHOULD... but its disgusting that most of the jobs (60%) Marty do is cleaning up poorly installed systems.

Yeah I remember going down there to get my splits put in and there were a couple of other cars there getting recabled etc. Check out this thread on MEA
http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/for ... ll-photos/

I thought I had seen it all till I saw some of the pics on Marty's thread.

In my experience in car audio I have only had 5 cars in my time, and installed after market stereo components into each of them, with the exception of the new wagon the mrs won't let me touch it for a while. I have however, had to install or reinstall about 30 or 40 stereos into mates cars, or family members cars that had taken them to Strathies, JB Hifi or had a mate install it for a case of beer.

Oh wow... that thread is insane...

That actually makes me feel good about the job I did with my stereo in my GT-R... The deck I did in a similiar fashion, loads of cable ties and proper connections all nice and neat and tidy so if anyone wants to go back there it's all nice and neat!

Also the cost to send my lib over east would be insane...

On another note, i LOVE the owners car setup... nothing but focal <3 he has my heart lol

If you are referring to the OP's stereo, this is probably a question best left for PM's.

Staircase style amp rack & an 15" inch firing down.

I may have missed something here, but what are you guys talking about????
