Hey guys

Introduce yourself

Hey guys

Postby brada » Tue Mar 08, 2011 11:20 am

Hey guys, just wanted to say a quick hello before I post a couple of questions about all things liberty.

I’ve recently brought a my08 tb sti… #39 – silver sedan 6MT, silver enkei’s

After being pretty disappointed with my tupperware my09 wrx, I almost never wanted to own another Subaru - out of principle. But I've got to say that the liberty's a massive improvement (as u would already know) & I'm very happy now that I stayed with subaru.

It appear that this site is much more active than ozliberty

Welcome Brad!

Nice looking ride, any plans for mods?

If you are after some bang for buck mods, swaybars and lower control arm bushes are a good start.

And yes, OzLiberty is a ghost town. Half of the posts are people trying to offload their parts.

There is a clublib meet up in Sydney this Saturday at Ribs & Rump if you are interested in coming, You can even pick up a club.liberty sticker from Ric :)

No plans for performance mods just yet... i like the idea of having a reasonably spec'd car to begin with and keeping it 'factory'. Makes a nice change coming from a long line of modified cars...

On the non performance front, I'm thinking about riping out the fairly average factory nav (keeping it for resale though) and replacing it with an android tablet (google maps/google turn by turn, internet, obd 2 etc). I need to start by doing some exploratory surgery and seeing how much room there is under there to play with... and whether theres a tablet out yet that has 150mm screen length, so that it looks factory.

I use to work over the road form ribs & rumps there... thanks but I've got a wedding to goto this sat.

Very interesting, I though about a car computer when i got my rex in 09. I might run up the certrafuse demo again and see what i think. Only thing is, its a fiddly solution & sometimes the simplicity whats needed on the dash. But thats awesome how tai built the vent surround.... and how good do those gauges look... its got me thinking.
