Springs for 08 GT B spec

Postby NA84WA » Thu Nov 11, 2010 7:10 pm

Hi Guys,

Im new to the forum and just wondering what everyones thoughts are on lowering springs for the bilstein struts in the 08 GT. I notice most ppl on here are fans of the Tein S-Techs but has anyone tried the H-Techs? What about other options such as Swift, H&R etc? I want to keep the ride as nice as possible but would also like to lower the car a bit to "toughen" its stance if that makes sense!!

Some help would be much appriciated
:D

I've used pedders on a different car and they were okay. My last lot of springs I got (on my previous car) were H&R and they were fantastic. They left an equal stance and drove great. Not sure if H&R would be the same result for the liberty, but i'm curious to know what people come up with as options.

Also interested in springs at this time as I have a bit of cash to spare, but not enough to just splash out on some coil overs due to my TBE slowly coming together.

Interested in maintaining roughly the facelift Spec.B ride quality (or of course if it can be improved...but I doubt it with springs) and lowering it to above the legal limit, whilst improving handling (even marginally)

Any info would be appreciated, otherwise I'll just end up calling the PHAT's....actually I'll probably end up doing that anyway, but would love some opinions on different springs from people as they can be so varied.

Thanks.

Ive been researching a few options one is the Tein S-techs from Phat and another Swift springs from entra motorsports. But now my mechanic has thrown H&R into the equation and im just confused as to what spring to settle on.

My mechanic raves about H&R but im concerned as to how they will go with the Bilsteins for height. Im also concerned about the ride quality with the Teins. Swifts are hard to get as entra hasnt got any stock and havent heard back from there supplier in America but i think the ride height with them might not be low enough!! Too many decisions!!

Has anyone on here used H&R in conjunction with the Billies??

Id love to hear some feedback on here as there is plenty on the teins but not enough on H&R.

from he my Experience with the S techs the drop is too much for the standard bilsteins and reduces the travel too much. making they quite uncomfortable over pot holes/ramps etc, ill be swapping to some Sti pinks next week
