Has anyone thrown a DCCD unit onto a GT SpecB or Tuned by STi Liberty? what's involved?

although i haven;t
you'd be up for
-DCCD extension housing/ centre diff
-controller/ thumbwheel
-lots of wiring
-dash cluster

probably a massive job where just fitting a better centre diff and LSD's at either end would be better/ comparable

I didn't think it'd be a walk in the park. Would have been nice if they fitted it as standard, espeically in the tuned by.

Wishful thinking won't get you far unfortunately mate. They didn't do anything in the engine bay other than a tune as well. There are a few extra sensors that an STI has that aren't fitted to a lib. Yeah the box will fit up, the issue is making it work well enough to make it worthwhile for the cost.

I'd go with Robs idea and fit a helical LSD at the front and a Plated at the rear. This is of course if you're happy to compromise with the issues of tight LSDs.
