Hi guys!

Long time reader, first time poster/joiner if that even makes sense...

I have me a 2004 Gen 4 Subaru Liberty GT! See pics...

Why i joined? recently had a few issues with it.. .Break shudder... Clock/Trip comp stopped working (on and off)

Hope i can find some answers here (search) or if anyone can point me to the right directions!

Mods: Mostly stock. HID kit running 9000k Bulbs. Front and back white line sway bars. Front and back white line strut bars. Some Japanese low springs.
Plans: Break mods, stock tuning better low down torque and economy.

9000k bulbs!!! :shock: can you see anything when you drive at night in the rain?

yeah sure everything lights up fine, very bright white.

Indeed it is.
After 6000k the lumens reduce dramatically the further up the colour temperature scale you go. The difference between 4300k to 6000k is negligible but once you get past about 6100k the reduction in Lumens increases exponentially. I imagine 9000k would be producing probably less lumens than standard halogen bulbs, effectively making your HID's pure rice and not just half rice :lol:
Are you positive that you have 9000k?

Thats what I was getting at but I didn't want to accuse our new member of anything.

5000k is pure white, 6000k is a slight tinge of blue.

If your globes are pure white I don't think they're 9000k...which is lucky for you :)

Hmm - sorry guys i can only go by what the old owner told me. He advised they were 9k globes :(
