Project PC

Postby Lib 3.0LR » Sun Jan 23, 2011 6:03 pm

I also have attempted to put a PC in my car as Mr Cali did. However, I've had a few issues - nothing major, just some software problems. Here are a few shots. By the way Tai, how did you load your music and videos etc onto the Centrafuse program? :?

Looks like it is coming along nicely George.

Your car is still as sexy as ever. It's one of the reasons I went to a silver wagon.

I just copied them onto the harddrive, and there is an option in the Centrafuse Settings to set paths to the various media files...

Hi George,

Good to see that you got the bezel painted, looks the goods.

For your touch screen driver use the relevant driver for your operating system from this link http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eg/Touch_Drives.html

Also like Hobber has mentioned, in Centrafuse you go to system / settings and go to Music or Video etc and edit. You can then add a directory to where you have saved it on your hard drive.

I'll have a look tomorrow mate, just did that from memory, will do a step by step for you. The trail version is fully functional, with the exception of gps and Bluetooth

I think that is also an option in the settings, or it's a switch you need to add to the startup command line.

I'd suggest you poke around a bit in

http://forums.fluxmedia.net/faq.php

For example, you can add switches to the command starting up centrafuse to get rid of the nag screen etc...

But the end result is fun....However the phone + bluetooth through CF is shite, I recently just purchased a seperate kit for the phone and now the CarPC just does the following

- Media Player
- Sat Nav
- Engine Diags
- POI Search (Google)

To be added DAB+ so radio will come through CF

Cheers

so if you have a non macintosh audio system, in your Legacy, how do you get the audio from car pc to play through factory speakers? i presume you need something that will give you an aux in for factory headunit?
