Wheel Nuts

Postby nitemare_liberty » Fri Jan 14, 2011 12:32 pm

Hey guys,
Basically just wanting to know if these wheel nuts would fit?
and what size/dimensions i would need?
I have aftermarket wheels, not stock ones.

I wanted different ones but these were the steel ones i found...
i have heard bad things about aliminium lugs..anyone who knows otherwise let me know but apparently aliminium and steel don't mix too well.

otherwise any other good wheel nuts that anyone can recommend?reasonable priced too.
Thanks

Aluminium can gall on the threads (depending on how much anti-galling grease/compound is used) and the metal is also a lot softer than steel so the nut is a lot more prone to damage and not as strong so you can't tighten the nut as much and are more likely to damage the threads in the nut if it is overtightened. No way I'd use Al as a metal for a wheel nut.

Don't know about the angle but 12mm diamter x 1.25mm thread pitch is what you need to be looking for
