Below is the description of a set of Billies recently sold on eBay. Could someone shed some light on this?
"They will fit all Gen 4 Subaru Liberty models from late 2003 to 2009 including 2.0R, 2.5i, 3.0R and GT models.
The springs have been re-set to give a lower ride height. The front struts will lower the car by approximately 1” and the rear struts by approximately 0.8”.
The bolts on the rear top hats have been changed to longer ones as a spacer was being used on top of the strut so longer ones were fitted. Brand new cone lock nuts and washers will be supplied to you for re-fitting.
These would be a perfect upgrade to anyone with a non-Spec.B Liberty who wants better quality shocks than their standard ones for better handling and want to lower their car at the same time.
They would also be perfect for someone who already has a Spec.B Liberty and wants to keep a fresh set of shocks for when their current Bilstein shocks start to soften out, just swap your current springs into these and you have a virtually new suspension set up."
I was under the impression that shorter springs were needed to adjust the ride height...
