Believe what you like and take vouches from who you want. I've got the proof of the pudding sitting in the workshop delivered from Japan. And there's evidence all over it that it was in fact hand rebuilt after the test, whatever that test may have been, crashed or not. Not that I needed any as I know and trust the vendor in Japan.
For those who are really interested in getting hold of one PM me and I'll give you the details of the Vendor in Japan. I'm sick and tired of having to repeat myself just becuz Harry met Jack who knows Henry who said diddly squat!
If you want to know my side of the story and contacts just PM me.

Sounds like "RSK" had an unfortunately sour experience. In my experience two small turbos simply reduce lag and just makes the car much easier to live with from day to day with all that power, though you won't get as much top end grunt. If you want animalistic top end grunt then one big turbo will always deliver... Good luck with your build. :D

thanks everyone who posted,

however, i quote "i am looking for some educated knowledge (not unsubstantiated opinion)". please leave arguements elsewhere, as everyone can share their opinion.

i agree single turbo is okay if you want top end. thats fact. however, i live in northern rivers nsw, so most of my driving is low-to-mid range, and its my wifes daily car as well. so the twin turbo will do fine, as its only a replacement for my now, dead ej25d. until all required components for the 6banger have been sourced.

i have decided on the ez36, for 2 reasons. after much site searching and research, it hasnt been done in a 3rd gen, here or elsewhere. and 3.6 quadcam over the 3.0 variant, seems a better base for my future plans. so hopefully the ej20tt and 6spd will be in the car, and again cruising in 2 1/2 weeks. then gonna try and make MRT's tune trip in Cairns.

will try and take some pics, and take notes of the fit up as it happens.

anyoone with any 3.6 parts or accessories, please post.

cheers

This thread is epic full of fail.

Good luck though. The 3.6 is just a 3.0 with a f*cked rod:stroke ratio, f*cked oil pump design. The 3.0r is quad cam so I dont know what you're trying to say? It just lacks exhaust AVLS/AVCS, which would only be a big deal on a hipo e85 daily with a big single to bring some spool on earlier with such low EGT's.

Far out you are a negative nancy.
At least try and be a little nicer about things. Look at your post history. 6 posts and all of them bar one are negative / sarcastic.

i guess you have not driven a gen 3 B4 twin turbo yet. remember you car is parallel and not sequential twin turbo as in a gen 3 B4 . if you choose the correct turbo and tune on your setup any turbo is drivable. my focus start coming on boost from 1500rpm.

cheers mark,

i am having a nightmare with this. the 'piece of shit' that sold me the conversion "NG JAP" (for gods sake dont deal with this f'wit), didnt supply all the wiring needed, the black box of doom (switches the sequential turbos on/off as required), is missing, there are NO vacuum lines, one turbo is FUKD, everything is corroded inside, diff is from another car and the wrong ratio, etc. etc. etc.

I told him i wanted a refund, of $500 less than what i paid, even after already having a major service done on the engine incl. waterpump, timing belt, etc, as i didnt want to chase up the $2000 worth of parts missing. and this fagot rekons "i sold you a good engine mate, i drove the car myself in japan mate". And i offered to drive the conversion back to him (1000km) so he could see for himself before handing the money over. what a noob.

So anyone out there needing parts, dont deal with NG JAP...

the company which used to be called subiworks on the sunshine coast, 'Eddie', is a gentleman. for less than what i paid wogboy for a dud conversion, i got a complete front cut, including bonnet etc., and he is having an employee personally deliver it the 600km round trip for a very, very reasonable fee.

so sorry folks, photos are at least a week away.

My adjustable coilovers did turn up, with the pillowball tops for front, and will also be fitted this week.

cheers

Sorry to hear that.

I had a similar problem with an engine i bought for another car. They neglected to tell me the engine came available as the car had caught fire and melted all engine ancilliaries and associated bits and pieces that were coming with them. However after repeated hammerings and abusive phone calls they agreed to refund some money and sent new ancilliaries over for me.

Nothing worse than shit going wrong like that.
Good luck with it, and keep us updated, im interested in this thread. your putting a lot of work in.
especially interested in the 3.6 conversion.
