I had an accident at Phillip Island today :(

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

I guess I should make clear, it wasn't all in the same lap (or even the same session) that I had those spins!
The track goes anticlockwise.
I had spin#1 on the familiarity run, my first time through that corner.
I missed the first timed session because of problems with two tappet adjusters coming loose (wierd, they haven't been touched since February this year, and have raced around Winton since then)
I had spin #2 in the second timed session
No spins in session #3 (it was a regularity run also, where you have to try to do three laps all in a row with the minimum time variaiton, so I couldn't afford to spin ;))
Spin #3 was at the start of session #4, which would have been my last run, and I was trying to get one fast lap in. It wasn't really a spion, just run wide onto the grass at the hairpin on Honda corner.
Spin #4 was half a lap later, when I was just trying to come into the straight quick to start my fast lap...

 i wouldn't even want to imagine the lap time if this wasn't the case?!?!
I spend most of my money on booze, fast cars and women, I just waste the rest...

I haven't seen the results yet.
I think my good laps were about 2:17. I was chasing a 2:14 that the other MGA competitor did before his engine blew up...
(At least I drove home, he had to borrow a trailer)

I have the results. As expected, I came second in class (out of three ;)) in the sprint, with a best time of 2:16.9s.
The surprise was, I came third outright in the regularity!
This was done on the variation in lap times on the third session. I was very careful not to spin on that one, and did three laps with only 0.7s variation. :D
(If you're curious, the results are at sprint and regularity)

I have some good and bad news about the back window.
The good news is I found a place in Thomastown that can make any shape window from toughened glass you want. It would be around $200 for the size of mine.
The bad news is they need an original one (not mounted in a car) to take the exact size and curve measurements from. I'm hunting around the MG club to find if anyone is doing a full restoration, as you would remove the glass to do a full respray...

Latest update. I have had three different MG club members offer me a window to be copied :D
Amazing what a bit of an email campaign can uncover ;)
I should have this sorted in a couple of weeks.
