Left Side central locking problems

Heya guys.

well after being out of the country for a while i came back to find that the left hand side of my passenger door will not respond and i think the left hand side rear passenger door is about to die out aswell...

i'm stumped!!!

Hoping that anyone can shed some light on my latest dilema

Some more info here. Sounds to me like your solenoid/actuator.

The actuators are not intended to be a serviceable component, but see the link Tony has posted, and follow link to LGT which I posted on that. A couple of people have opened the actuators and cleaned off built up grease with good results.

I'm going to do it soon too one of mine is playing up.

hummm gonna have to open her up today to have a look....
hope this is the only thing wrong with it a need just needs a good clean... running out of cash pretty fast nowadays :(

So it seems that I've had a good run since cleaning it out but now the inevitable has happened... it's finally crapped out, i opened it up and seems the teeth have warn down.. :(
I've rung around and have been quoted around $550 for both front and rear passenger actuators...
price sounds a bit on the high side... is this the going rate for something like this?

From Subaru Australia, yes. From the US, no..
