PICS|Drift Australia Finals|56k - Go build a tree house

Hello fellow Libertarians,

Went to the Drfit Australia Finals at Oran Park on Sunday and thought I'd try my hand at some action shots!

So here's some of the shots for those that are interested.. There's quite a few, so they'll take some time to load.

We started off standing on the best corner.. until a few cars went into the gravel trap and spat stone at us - might sound pissy, but they seriously hurt, and some lady got sconned in the head and looked like she'd just been cracked with a plank - blood everywhere.. so I didn't think this would be the most camera friendly place to stand.. so the pics aren't the best, but it was all good fun!

These were all taken with a 18-135 with a CP filter (Circular Polarizer).. Wasn't the greatest lens for the action shots as its got no vibration reduction function, plus I think something with a longer range, like a 70-300 would have been a lot better.

But for a first go, I was really happy with the way they turned out!

I'd be more than happy to do some shots for you or any of the guys!!

Whenever you want Phil, send me a PM or email with what kind of shots you want (night/ day/ scenic/ industrial etc..) and I'll try and come up with some locations and a time!! :wink:
