WTB wing mirror

Postby bates91 » Wed Oct 20, 2010 11:19 am

So was driving down oxford street when some fool in a blue commodore decides to not pay attention whilst driving and swerves over double centre lines into my lane, clips my mirror with his and sort of glances off it - think he realised a nanosecond before he hit it. bus on my left, i had nowhere to swerve and avoid him, so i now need a new mirror (See pics).

Some forum searching told me (predictably) that Subaru will charge me an arm and leg for a new mirror (~450 i think it was), so tried http://www.alldrivesubaroo.com.au/subar ... parts.html - they rang around their network/contacts to see if they could find one, unfortunately they had no success.

Does anyone have any other options I could pursue?
Even someone to go to just to get a new mirror panel - seeing as the casing isnt cracked, the indicator light still works fine - no point paying a lot when i only need the reflective part
Unless of course you happen to have a MY05 Liberty 3.0R-B Right side wing mirror in factory silver sitting around in your garage, in which case please get in touch with me :)

Would appreciate any help
Cheers, Ed

Hey Ed,

Assuming that you are in Sydney and Oxford Street being in the east, then you could try a place on Bronte Rd, Waverley
not far from Waverley Police Station near Charring Cross who do mirrors for cars...etc..... Not sure on the price though.
But would definitely be cheaper then a new mirror with the case.

Regards
Alex
