Introduce yourself

From Denmark

Postby Ksperh » Thu Jun 10, 2010 12:32 pm

Hello fellow Liberty guys and girls.

I moved from Denmark to Australia 3 weeks ago, and picked up a MY07 Liberty wagon 3.0 Spec-B. Charchoal and with only 57K's on it yesterday :D . I have really wanted a Liberty for a long time, but unfortunately i have never been able to afford one. The price of the Liberty wagon 3.0 Spec-B in 2007, in Denmark was a whopping 160.000 AUD, and a second hand, like the one i just got, would set you back around 90.000 AUD  . So the car prices in Australia has turned me into a kid in a lolly-shop :P .

The plans regaring modification are rather small, for now. LED's will replace most lightbulbs, getting my Ipod to work with the stereo, maybe a new, just a bit louder, exhaust, and in time i would like to get my hands on the golden Brembo's.

Is it possible that HID was factory fitted in 2007? I believe mine has it.

I will get around to take some photos shortly.

KR

Kasper

Welcome to the club & our country :D Hope you enjoy your stay in both respects :D

Can't believe how expensive those prices are! Willing to bet if you were talking about a Euro car, Australia's prices are crazy :P

Pretty sure the MY07 (Face lifted) Gen 4 3RB & GT's all came with factory fitted HID's in the low beams... Send a PM to our resident LED & HID man Leo (HKS180) & he should be able to hook you up.

Cheers!

Thanks for the warm Welcome, and sorry for the delay in fotos. I have been appartment-hunting. Staying with the inlaws can be a bit hard  , and i have been back overseas for a month and a half, but are now back, just in time for the summer 8) .

My girlfriend is Australian. She was stationed two years in denmark were i met her, and when she moved back she brought me :D

I do belive you have it a lot better, in regards to car prizes in Australia, than in Denmark. The prices in Denmark is just crazy. That is due to our registration of...................hold on....................180% and on top of that you add VAT of another 25%. The only one who gains anything in that deal is of course the goverment. I do think that it is a bit better driving in Denmark though. We do not have those stupid speed cameras everywere, i know the goverment claims it is for safety, but i smell a cashcow. And i found the roads a bit better as well. at least better than Northern Beaches were we are located.

I have also added some fotos of Copenhagen Classic Gran Prix which were on while i was back. It is very cool watching these old cars racing through the streets of Copenhagen, maybe mostly if you like old cars, which i do. I have an old BMW E28 in Denmark that i am planning on restoring over time.

I hope this photobucket thing works :)

Nice car mate, love the colour. Don't forget to fill up, your running a bit low on fuel ;-)

Love the older style beemers and mini's. If/when my Subaru Sherpa eventually goes out to pasture (read = dies) I'll definitely be looking into one or the other.
