Now that I'm in North America, I'm greatly concerned about raised pick-up trucks and owners of wedge shaped vehicles. Seriously, not only do you have to be concerned about one hitting you in an accident, they stand a good chance of driving over you at the same time!

Read a story about a US airforce (simple high wing primary trainer) instructor - he used to carry a spare control stick under the seat, then in the air pull the normal one out of its socket and throw it out the window to scare the pants off the student, then plug in the spare one. Worked well until a student pulled it on him, with his own spare.
