Ok,
General consenus seems to be to cut the gravel section out of the cruise. I agree with the route change proposed by Ric. If we keep the start at 8am, I am guessing we would be all done by 12pm at the lunch stop! Home by 2-3pm, just in time to hit the car wash!!! And, more importantly, miss all the bottlenecks created by Sunday arvo drivers.

So, just to start the prep:

Day or two before:
1. Full tank of fuel
2. Clean windscreen
3. Correct tyre pressures (and spare)
4. All fluid levels checked (oil, brakes, clutch or auto trans, cooling system, washer water)
5. A good wash (shampoo, clay, polish, wax or what ever)

No excuses to turn up at the start point without adequate prep!!! If you do, your punishment will be to drive the Fernshaw leg to Marysville!!! :D

My prep has started weeks before!
Installed my rear swaybar + endlinks today, among other things

And this time when people do clean their cars make sure they don't do it at 9pm in darkness like the guy last time who had missed spots on his car :D

Rightio - I think I said if it was on the 17th in the other thread then I'd be on it. Guess I just assumed that would carry across...

So, for the record... I'm in...

Ok Andrew, I'll have bacon and eggs, with nice fresh brewed coffee and 2 slices of whole grain toast for breaky.

For lunch I'll have a couple of sauages, BBQed, a beer to wash it down.

I guess we had all put our orders in before he backs out of the deal . :D
