Hi Guys,
My names Pat. Ive been a long time member but first time posting. As a young lad I bought a 2001 Liberty GX but quickly found there was no use modding it as it was never gonna be anything special. I joined this forum ages ago because I fell in love with the gen 4's.

Recently Ive been looking to upgrade to a turbo car but I always told myself to wait for the right car before making a purchase. I had 2 conditions to abide by; 1. the car had to be black. 2. Had to be a GT. So the search began, but noticed black GT's are not something you find easily at dealerships (I didnt want to go private because I wanted to trade in my old gx). So I found a black Ford xr6 Turbo and was keen for a while but after a bit of research I decided to not go ahead with it. Then I found a black wrx, I always told myself I wouldnt get a wrx but luckily it had sold the day I went to look at it haha. So after that the urge to buy a new car subsided.

It wasnt till about 2 weeks ago that I driving home with the gf when we saw a black gt parked outside a dealer getting looked at. I told her that I hoped they were trading it in! Few days later I seen it was for sale! So i made sure that that GT was gonna be mine even though it was auto but i didnt care. After a week of haggling and surviving a hail storm while my GX was getting quoted! I finally settled the deal as of yesterday :D I pick her up next week!

So im now the owner of a 2005 Lib GT! Got no mods in mind as Im currently saving my coins for the insurance..as being only 22 will rape me haha. Any ideas for cheap insurance for youngens?

ahhh geez Ive wrote so much! sorry for the essay

Great forum with alot of good information!

cheers

Welcome. Post some pics when you can.

Insured under my name through JUSTCARS (05 GT age 20). I doubt you will find cheaper then them.

What state are you from?

Welcome and enjoy the new purchase.

I have always used Shannons, however I am sure there are some more competitive ones on offer. There is an insurance thread on the forum that will give you a guide to what is available and a what cost?

+1 for Justcarinsurance. I spent a lot of time trying to find the cheapest insurance for my GT05 under my name (23 old at the time) and Justcar were the cheapest by a significant amount.

Justcars online quote had me down to pay over $2400 for full comp. Thats insane! I just did a NRMA quote and got $1201 with $800 excess. Il go to a few places tomorrow and see if anything cheaper can be done if not il go with nrma.

Pics will come as soon as I get her. Im sick of waiting! arrghh haha

Welcome mate, congrats on the purchase.
+1 for JUSTCAR far cheaper for things like that. I had a turbo through them for over $500 cheaper than my next cheapest quote.
Welcome to the forum. :)
