Im sure someone will take it off your hands mate!

I have a problem. I installed mine today, and it keeps cutting out and i have to play with the box and cord and reconnect it. Has anyone else had this trouble?

Also, was i completely off in my own world when i thought this would let me change the songs through the steering wheel controls?

Can I quickly get confirmation that the below will give me track control from the steering wheel and charge an Ipod through the mackintosh?

That looks really interesting. This is exactly the solution i am looking for, just hopes it works.

Maybe i should try contacting Subaru or Clarion tomorrow.

Will keep you posted.

Just spoke with Subaru, could not get a hold of Clarion. Subaru is only aware of the Jack-plug-way, or an FM transmitter.

Can it really be true that no one (apart from the Americans, who uses a different headunit) have some solution that can be intergrated?

I am really tempted to get rid of the Mcitosh. i had a Clarion radio in my old car and that had full Ipod control.

Bloody useless

I've bought (or ordered at this stage) the cable I put in the link above, and I'll keep people posted with how it goes.

The way I see it if an Ea1251 works so will this.

Is there a walk through with pics on how to remove the stock 3.0 rb head unit to put the aux cord in the back on the net anywhere

Cheers

So, I'm a bit confused as to what http://www.audio-discounters.com/aip-cl-id.html will actually DO.

I'm after something I can just plug in to the 30-pin connector (at the base) that will both CHARGE and PLAY AUDIO from the device.
Those who have installed this particular plug, what's it doing for you and which type of iPod / iPhone do you have?

Also, I'd warn anyone looking to purchase from eBay ID "ipod-world-wide". The item shipped was wrong, so was returned but now they're not returning emails when I ask what happened to the refund / replacement.

Relatively Cheap Aux in / Ipod in for McIntosh!

Postby Mr Cali » Wed Oct 20, 2010 12:05 pm

I have the axxcess cord on mine, which works perfectly with my IPhone 3GS.

This is what it does.

Does not allow the head unit to control the iPhone, all functions needs to be done on the iPhone.

To access the aux in, you will need to press the cd button twice.

I have found that the volume is slightly lower than the radio or cd

It also allows for audio input via a 3.5mm jack, this is the reason I sold my Clarion cable as I needed it for my car pc.

It also charges the iPhone.

Hope that helps

Wow, that sounds like the perfect solution! One plug that allows audio to be played and for the 3Gs to be charged.

Thanks!

Mines buggered! For a start it wont charge my iphone 4...could be an iphone 4 compaibility issue, but i assume theres something going on. Also, it effs up all my settings. When i want to use my cord i have to change all the bass, treble, and fade settings because it only really plays in the front (and a little in the back) and wont use my sub.

NOT HAPPY

Back to CDs it is
