I remembered getting told in the ball park of $3500 for KW v2's. THat was a retail price though.

Darren.

One of the local KW dealers gave me a price of $2850 today - i was shocked!!! US prices are about US$1500ish !!!

Any of the vendors here deal with KW? Or is online the best option?

But Jim is right, the KW's are cheaper than the Tein Flex - if you look at online stores that carry both you'l find that the KW's are on average a couple of hundred cheaper.

Mo i can have the FLEX delivered to you for about $300 cheaper than the above price you listed for the KW's

i can have any spring you want fitted to the FLEX before it leaves TEIN Japan (this takes a few extra days but no extra cost)

What springs did you have? And how low did you go with your KW's? What spring rates are on your KW's?

Thanks :)

I had kg-mm springs, not sure what spring rates are on the KW (I think stock?) but here's how low it is...

Whoa, that's pricey! Oh wait a minute, I'm thinking of K2, which is like $1,600 or something. :P My bad.

KW should be here this week and I reckon after so many suspension changes I can have the old one's out and them installed within 90 mins

Cool, hope you get it soon! Btw, why did you choose the Racecomp versions and not the KW's themselves? If i remember correctly the springs rates are a bit different and the valving too?

Coilovers arrived today :D

I chose the racecomp one's for a number of reasons. The springs are a higher quality linear spring which allows for slightly more suspension travel then the KW versions and travel is critical on the Liberty. He also revises the damping on the firmer end allowing for a pretty good track set up if I ever choose to go that way. The fact that my wife was also in the states recently also swayed my decision somewhat as she bought them and sent them to me as a gift :) Also the finish of them is of a higher quality than I've seen on the Tein's and I reckon they will last longer but that's purely my biased opinion as I don't think tein's are any good.... :pardon:

Way comfier than the stock shocks with aftermarket springs :) it's firm but not harsh.

I can vouch for Clarence's set up. Very comfortable, surprised by the level of comfort for coilovers.

Aussie dollar is doing great things so buying from the US never better :) If you get the coilovers sent in two separate packages you'll bypass the import tax too..

Customs have clued onto that trick. You'd have to split the packages apart by a few days or more.

I'll try my best to buy the coilovers from one of the vendors on this forum or a local shop and leave mail order to the last resort unless its half the price.

Flex get my vote... You can adjust them up to give a nice soft ride, but when adjusted nice & hard are great for spirited street driving or track work... Plus you can get cool things like the EDFC which allows you to change the dampening quickly & easily :) ... Cusco also have a system like this. I know the Cusco coil overs are damn good, but unsure where they sit in terms of price & comfort.

KW's have gotten good reviews as well, but would only be going for there top spec version (Unsure what the model name is) which tend to be rather expensive from what I've heard.
