Well, due to some technical difficulties..., we did not quite manage to get the dump from my car on Friday afternoon. Vaccine may have had more success later in the weekend. Over to you Vaccine!

I've had no problems downloading my rom. I've tried to post it here however .hex extension is not allowed apparently.

If anyone wants to look at it I can email it.

just rename it to something else eg. the default for romaraider is .bin but you could also call it .cnt or whatever you want. The preferred method would be to have the file as a zip or rar of the image which saves space and its more acceptable for forums and for other security related reasons.
Pity the cars aren't in Sydney

Hey guys just wondering.

I know vin dosent work for docklands sit anymore, but has he gone somewhere else where he will do it or doesn't he do it anymore.

If so is there somewhere else that does an equivalent tune.

You could try Revzone.
I think they have worked under/with Vin.

I have never used them...neither can I refer someone that has.

Nick,

I have been to Rev Zone to enquire on what they can do and they reckon they can better the V-Tune and remove some of the DBW lag on the accelerator. So I am booked in for Wed. They will have the car all day and I will collect it again late afternoon.

I have kept my V-Tune results (before and after) of the previous 2 tunes done by Vin. I will compare and post the results.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

It'll be interesting to see how you go.
Especially reducing the DBW lag.
Its a very touchy adjustment...pardon the punn....especially when you use cruise.
I found one one of my tunes (by someone else) the DBW was ramped up too much and jerked/surged when on cruise.
I ended up going back to standard.

Good point about the Cruise Control. Had not thought about potential impact. I will mention it prior to the tuning.

Mark...how much does it cost to get these retunes done?

Is it the initial tune that costs the most and then just afterwards it's very cheap to retune?

Well, I know the V-tune was 100 for the Powerflush of the injectors and 250 for the V tune, but that was back in...2007 or 2008.

For the RevZone version, I will find out tomorrow. I do not want to be their development pony and pay for everyone else to receive the benefit, and I will not want to spend more than 500 for a 3.0R.

Kind Regards,

Mark.
