I tried to buy from that link but when checking out it only gives you an option for USA or Canadian address how did you put an Australian address.

Tai when you click "buy" on the product page and it takes you to your cart, instead of pressing "Checkout now" look a couple of buttons down. There is a thing that says "International Customers Outside USA & Canada?" with a button bellow it that says "international checkout". :D

International Checkout is a 3rd party entity that purchases the items on your behalf from various websites and then sends them overseas. Was pretty quick - arrived in a week from when I ordered off the website and was delivered via DHL courier.

Relatively Cheap Aux in / Ipod in for McIntosh!

Thanks guys. I can't believe shipping is more than the item itself though.
Decided to get this cable as I need the 3.5mm jack for the car pc so the clarion iPod cable will be up for sale soon.

Just installed one of these into my B4.

I'm having issues getting it to work though. When I plug it in and turn the head unit on, it flashes up 'SYS' untill I turn the HU off/on again. After that the HU works as normal, but I can't select the aux input (press disc button twice?).

Am I doing something wrong here?

hey..
i got my AIP-CL-ID in the mail today from aussiedeals.com. took about a week after payment for the product to arrive.
I decided to try and install it and after taking my head unit out i realised there is no connection in the back (in my car) to fit the product's connection.
I have a Sedan My06 Liberty 2.4L but i am fairly sure i have the wrong stock head unit as none of the connections in the back fit the cable i have recieved.
If anyone would be able to help me with this issue it'd be much appreciated.

Does your 2.4L Liberty have Mcintosh head-unit or standard one?

i'm pretty sure its a standard one (given the plug doesnt go anywhere).
do the macintosh units look much different?
I just assumed it'd work in my car so went ahead and got it.
Does anyone know of any alternatives i could get to use my ipod through my head unit? How hard/expensive is it to put a new head unit in (not including price of actual new head unit). Ive also heard that in my car to get a new head unit you have to keep the current one in the car somewhere or the AC does not work, is this true?
thanks!

The mc ones are black fascia's.

You can buy a new panel allowing AC to work and fits a double din space in their so a big screen on single din with spacer. around $400ish from memory...

Ps. Liberty's are 2.5L

i have an Axxess AIP-CL-ID still new and in the box from aussiedeals.com. Do you think i would be able to send it back and get a refund (minus postage), or would anyone here like to buy it off me for a reduced price? (sorry if selling items is not allowed on these forums im still only new)
