Which Tyre to Buy?

Postby BlackGT » Wed Sep 08, 2010 9:03 pm

Hey Guys,

Need a new set of tyres 225/40R18. Currently have Bridgestone RE001 Adrenelin's. Been happy with them though they could be better in the wet. After speaking with a bloke at Jax he was raving on about how good the Michelin Pilot Sport 3's were after testing them and that they are A LOT better than the Adrenalins.

What tyres are everyone else putting on their cars. Happy to pay more for better quality stuff.

RE050A's for $225 each......surely that helps?

How much for the Michelin's? I'm running them at the minute (RE001 previously) and I can vouch that they are a much better tyre the the 001's.

Sorry been in front of a computer all day and saw the 16 pages and went  .

I'm assuming the $225 is for 17's and +$80 for 18s? Also would you need to add for delivery charges?

So are RE050A the best tyre for Liberty's out there?

$225 per tyre for RE050A's 215/45/R18
$60 for shipping for a set of 4, you can also pickup MY07/08 GT-B rims for $125 each.

It may be worth noting that the 215/45/R18 Bridgestone RE050A's are the tyre that came with the stock 18in wheels (both pre and post facelift).

Going off your avatar picture, you aren't running the stock rims...If I'm seeing that pic. right, these might not fit
Now that I'm in North America, I'm greatly concerned about raised pick-up trucks and owners of wedge shaped vehicles. Seriously, not only do you have to be concerned about one hitting you in an accident, they stand a good chance of driving over you at the same time!
