Introduce yourself

Gents

Postby XS80ST » Sun Sep 05, 2010 11:15 am

Name: Shannon (But everyone calls me Shaz)
Ride: 1999 Subaru Liberty Heritage Wagon.
Location: New South Wales, Northern Beaches
Mods: Bugger all, set of wheels which i don't think are standard, and a chopped front bar from previous owner who had a bull bar on, and a hole in the exhaust
Plans:Fix above mentioned problems, set of nice 18/19"s with nice offset, replace all the suspension (Bushes, sway bars, shocks, etc) and eventually, some kind of turbo engine.
Occupation: Bank Manager during the week, my own Window Tinting business weekday evenings and weekends.
Year of birth: March '87. From memory, that makes me 23.
Interest: Long walks on the beach, romantic dinners (Missus was watching me for that) Beers, Cars, PlayStation and pulling stuff apart. Beers.
Previous Rides: 87 Toyota Soarer w/ 1JZ conversion, Nissan Skyline R33, KE11 Corolla + heaps of other shitboxes.

Gday Gents,

I'm Shazza, from the Northern Beaches in Sydney. Just bought a Liberty wagon as it suits my window tinting business perfectly, but also because it seemed like a good buy, a reliable car, and not too hard to make look streetable. Nothing over the top, just some nice subtle mods to enhance the already fine lines of this well engineered piece of machinery. Oh, and some kind of turbo engine, as it currently wouldn't be able to push itself out of a wet paper bag. So far, all I've added was my Kicker Solobaric sub and Alpine amp just to give the tunes a bit of depth.

Wouldn't mind getting out to meet some of ya, learn a bit more about these cars. I've been trying to find if i can find a black lower lip for my front bar, but with no luck.

In any case, I'll be lurking around.

(The only picture i have so far is off the sellers ad, seeings i only bought it 2 days ago)

Cheers,
Shazza.

Hey mate,

Not turbo yet. The bonnet is i believe from a Legacy? It has Japanese writing all underneath it. I don't mind it though, it's one less thing to do when i do put a turbo engine under there.

Thanks mate, I've worked extremely hard to get where I am now. It all pays off though in the end. So, do you NSWers usually have regular meetups? Like on Sundays with a BBQ and stuff?

They seem to have a monthly hooters meet on the first Wednesday of every month.

Hey mate,

Not sure yet, I went jetboating today, and apparently the jet engine has a closing down sale mid spin, and had to be rebooked for this weekend, so unsure of the details until Tuesday. But could be on the cards!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Definately keen on attending a meetup sometime soon.

I'm going to re-tint my wagon in some darker film this weekend, so will chuck up some pics on Sunday hopefully (Providing this bloody rain goes away!!!)
