I don't plan on going 200km/h so it is all 'bling' anyways

Just curious, but why are you trying to turn your car into an STi, wouldn't you want to aim higher than that? I mean, most STi owners here have done mods to get 'better-than-sti', wouldn't you want the same?

It's to look similar to an STi, I'll be getting a K2 Exhaust, tuneup, sways and bushes etc from elsewhere, and any other engine mods I decide to do won't be STi.
Also not sure about the Rim's either I might keep them as they are or go aftermarket. Also my K2 roof spoiler, JDM STi pedals already make it not a TB STi look alike, so I'm not trying to make it 100%, just a few things which I think are good from the TB STi.

The STI Front Under Spoiler enhances the vehicle aerodynamics of the Liberty, while making the vehicle look lower and giving it a fast, GT style appearance. In wind tunnel testing the front spoiler improved the front lift coefficient (CLf) by approximately 80% (when tested with the STI Boot Spoiler). The optimum aerodynamic balance is achieved when the STI Front Lip Spoiler is combined with the STI Boot Spoiler. High speed handling of the vehicle is therefore improved. As a finishing touch, the spoiler incorporates a distinctive STI emblem.

Subtle European style and the performance look of STI. The STI Boot Spoiler improves the high-speed stability of the vehicle by creating down force from the airflow over the boot of the car. The rear co-efficient of lift has been improved by approximately 40% in wind tunnel tests (when tested with the STI Front Lip Spoiler on GT). The optimum aerodynamic balance is achieved when the STI Boot Spoiler is combined with the STI Front Lip Spoiler. The spoiler is made from durable ABS resin and incorporates a LED high mounted rear stoplight. Note: This spoiler will need to be painted before fitment to vehicle.

Don't need to go up to 200kph; I notice a difference from about 130 onwards there is a marked improvement at the front end. The steering no longer goes light and wallowy.

So I wanted to install 2 of the parts on my car tonight, the 2 "easy" bits.

STi gear knob, took 30 seconds to take off the GT-B one and replace.

STi oil filler cap....2 hours later, still will not go on. Worst part is when my Dad came home (04 Impreza RS) it went straight on his no problems. :angry2:
When I try put it on mine it gets just over half a turn and gets super tight, so Michael suggested I try shaving back the bit it connects to, but after 30 mins of trying that with no luck I have given up.

Is it possible to disconnect that funnel type section of the oil filler segment off of the engine without oil and shit going everywhere, looks to be a couple of bolts on the engine block. maybe I can take it out and shave it back some more or something....Or get Subaru to quote me a price for a brand new one...... :angry2: :angry2:
