Al and I are booked in with Vin in August. We both have the 2.5T, one man, one auto, and I was wondering if there is anything that you could recommend that we discuss with Vin now that you've been through the process. i.e. boost, AFR's, fuels, manifold pressures, lag etc??

Cheers

Steve, good on you, you will be impressed with the tune. I think Vin gets even better results out of the 2.5L than he does with the 2.0L as it has alot more potential.

I am electronically retarded so i have no suggestions as to what to ask him regarding tuning. I would tell him any mods you have done such as mufflers etc. I would always run 98 RON, and make sure your fuel is fresh for the tune. Honestly, just let Vinny do his thing, he will always be a touch on the conservative side compared to other tuners as he is a 'representative' of Subaru! I doubt he will give you more boost though, unless you really want it! hehe

And allow alot of time, he is always late!

Also, tell him you are in the WRX club and he'll give you a discount.

I'm probably wrong but my memory is that just as Sentinel and one or two others were about to get theirs tuned at Docklands (had their cars booked in and all) the shit hit the fan. Vin left/was pushed (rumoured as a scapegoat) and I don't think any custom tuning has been done out of there since.

Sentinel ended up getting a tune at HP-F.

Definitely no more tunes at Docklands though.
