Oil spec for 2.5gt?

Looking back over my service bills, the oil they used seems to change around....
5k api sm 10w30 min OK with this while still running in.
12.5 txt softec ll01 ??????
25k same...
37.5 magnatec fmx 10w30
50k slx oe 5w30

Any idea why it changes from 5w to 10w ? What is 'txt softec ll01 ' ?? What is 'slx oe 5w30 ' ??

I have never had to add oil between changes, but now coming up to 62.5k service the oil is looking pretty tired, and I feel a bit like doing a mid service change. The Castrol web site brings up gtx 10w30 or magnatec 10w40 got the 2006-2008 cars, and edge sport 5w30 or gtx 10w30 for the 2008-2009 cars...

5/30 is standard.

i run 10/40 royal purple and have been for last 50k....No issues

Because service departments have no idea about and no interest in what kind of oil they use.

There are heaps of threads on what oil to use, including a very recent one.
