Brembo setup

Postby Woodduck » Thu Aug 19, 2010 1:30 pm

So iv purchased a set of front brembos for my 3RB. It comes with GDB Brembo calipers (Front only), pins, clips, retainers, bolts, pads and rotors. Will I need aftermarket lines? Anything else i should be getting ready for the install?

Thanks

Rotors and pads are only a couple of months old. Hes supplying Intima SR pads with apparently very light use and standard brembo pads with a fair bit of bite left.

Don't need aftermarket lines unless you're doing a decent amount of trackwork IMO... They will be fine for the street for sure...

May be worth getting the discs skimmed? depends on condition though, if they are fine, then just slap them on...

Thanks fellas! Ill check out the discs when they get here :D

Is $1K an alright price for the above setup? (Obviously assuming they are in good condition when they get here :| )

I went to subaru because my discs and pads need replacing (Discs are effed!) and he couldnt find a price for the rotors but for stock pads i was looking at $300 for the standard fronts alone. So i figured if ever i was going to upgrade to brembos, now would be the time haha.

Nice one mate, if the time comes for me to get new disc and pads I would go down the same route. Get some pics up when you get them fitted.

Yeah they should. There's shite loads of room. Can fit my entire fist between the caliper and the inner face of the rim. And also plenty of room in the area between the hub and the inside of the rim, if you get me.

If not i can always on sell them...Shouldn't lose any money.

Tai- Will get pics up once they're on as i havnt got any recent pics with my Khans or my STi lip! :D

+1

Would also get braided lines purely because you should have better quality stuff all around some you don't have a weak link + braided lines are uber cheap these days :)
