Hi guys =)

Introduce yourself

Hi guys =)

Postby mzK » Sun Aug 15, 2010 3:14 am

Hey everyone!

I'd just like to introduce myself as I am new =D
My name is Karen aka Kaz or Kazza, whatever you prefer - I'm not fussed =)
I just turned 22 not too long ago and I'm from Melbourne. I recently bought a pearl white MY06 sedan. It's friggin awesome! I used to drive a 2000 Honda Civic sedan. Kinda miss it cos I was always a Honda girl. But I just couldn't resist the Liberty!
I haven't taken any photos of it yet but will do soon. Still contemplating on whether I should do any mods to it. What do you guys recommend? Nothing too overboard for me though, I don't want to attract the wrong attention from the pigs =P
Hope to hear from you all soon.

Welcome to the forum. Is your car a GT or a non-turbo? If it's a non-turbo, my experience so far on here is just to work on the cosmetic side of things as it is too expensive to do much else :)

I don't want to attract the wrong attention from the pigs =P

Geez, we're not all that bad :)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
My car is a non-turbo, although I do wish I could've made a GT mine. They're so sexy, but I'm still pretty rapt with this one =D hehe
I'm really obsessed with it and it's so weird cos I'm a girl and none of my girlfriends are that into cars haha

Welcome Karen :D
You're just too late for the recent cruise up through Kinglake. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=9157
There's likely to be another in October, up through Mt Donna Buang this time. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=9493
Hope to see you along.

Welcome Kaz,

+1 for what Ric has said.

Plenty of idea's on this forum for making your Lib look good and go a little better.

It's not often we have a female amongst our ranks, so hopefully us blokes won't get too blokey for ya! :D

Cheers

Hey Karen!
Don't worry about the gender issue, all that matters is the colour of your car at the meets. Go team White! We have to stick together against team Black and those wagons.

I would seriously recommend you get some LED's for your car to replace the boring dim standard globes.
Specifically the parkers + number plate lights, and the Dome light in the interior. Makes a fantastic difference and it's very simple to do and cheap as well. Leo (hks180) can hook you up with them, around $75 for the 3 light changes I just mentioned.
Of course you could take it to the extreme like I have and replace every light on the car (minus brakes/reverse) but that might be a little overboard for you.

Cheers,

Kieran.

Haha yeh I'm planning to get HID's soon. My current headlights are bright enough already but HID's will be sexy ;D
Just worried cos my bf and his boys have em and they said they could get done for it by the pigs. Blitz season is scary time for them LOL

Yeh but Liberty's look standard with HID'sif you stay around 5000kish mark. Other cars that are put on especially without projector lense you will get pulled over

As for Mods...
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9444

Some cheap gear over their that you won't see cheaper...
Also Lowered with some nice springs and a lip on the front.
