Apparently on a wrx fuel assembly, the torque is 3.3
I just saw that your car is a MY08, the guy at subaru told me that the models after mine have replaceable studs! So I don't know if he means 2008 onwards or if he means the Gen V's.

4.4Nm? Wow, that is barely more than finger tight. Literally. There aren't many torque wrenches that can measure down that low.
I'd suggest for information of those thinking of trying it to tighten the bolts finger tight and if you are really concerned use a spanner to just slightly nip it, preferrably something like a breaker bar straightened out like a screw driver. 4.4Nm is nothing
PS. I forgot my piece of paper which had which ribs to trim off that you told me so I just made it fit snug up in the original clips with the top pushed-up/sealed tight...

thanks for the info in this thread, just installed a Walbro fuel pump and went in without a hitch. Ended up buying a torque wrench just in case and as insurance. Its running fine in the car now, need a fuel pressure gauge now.
