Sorry to thread hijack, but where is a good place to find Brembo's used?
How much do they go for normally second hand....I was contemplating eventually buying a new set of brembo's for my car because I'm turning my GT.b into a TB STi, and I pretty much died when I saw the 8k price tag for new brembo's

Don't forget you'll need new rims to fit over the brembos.

When are your eyelids due?

Brembos on rexnet atm are $2,000, might find cheaper but they go like hotcake if cheap :D

Hey Kieren if today made you think you need Brembos, then consider that I have 2.5i brakes and they pulled up just fine ;).

Biggest difference is getting good pads, good fluid, and finally a sympathetic braking foot.

On the other hand if you want them for the bling, then go for it!!!

Yeah I like my rims too much and after what Sentinel(sorry forgotten your name already  ) said about running Dixcel pads and changing the fluid, I think that will be enough for me!

To Laps - sorry to hijack - but I'll answer Kieren's query if you don't mind.

No biggy mate - Steve's the name.

Dixcel's is what I use Kieren, but there is plenty of other pads that could do the job. As I said on the cruise along with the teK man, fluid, pads and maybe lines and you'll have a very nice pedal feel whilst haulin up the Lib no worries. The reasons to go for Brembo's varies, but for me, I intended to track my car back then (can't now though :() which is why I went for Dixcel pads and also the Brembo's. Each person is different as to why they want them. For bling, well, I guess wheels could cost that much too and they're for bling... [shrugs].

Oh, and if you do intend to look for second hand - MAKE SURE YOU DON'T BUY FROM OLIVER TORENIUS, ALSO KNOWN AS "1991olivert" ON FLEABAY. Heard waaaaayyy toooo many bad things about this guy

End /-

Laps - painting the caliper black will make it disappear - what that the effect you were after?? I thought you wanted to get 'the look of big brakes'?

Not after any look in particular, just dont like the current 'bare dirty metal look' lol... For example my dp... I was thinking red, but another user with a black 2.5i and black wheels did red, and I dunno if im a big fan... :S

Put a darker red strip around the outer lip of your wheels and paint the calipers the same color...

I would get a red wall before I modified the wheels...

Do you even have enough rubber on the tire to fit red-wall?

But seriously, are white/red wall legal?

Well another post on here has someone saying that 100+ people got pulled over whilst on a cruise...

However, many of my mates have walls on their cars, and have never been booked. And that is ACT/NSW(Queanbeyan)

And yes, I could fit a thin wall ;)
