Tune has finally happened, got 242HP and a disappointing 371nm.....

maybe the standard muffs holding the torque down?

can't seem to add dyno chart, will keep trying......best I can do this time of the day

ASG? So that means it was a hub dyno right? 242 hp is 180kw at the hubs. Around 150kw at the wheels. Probably on the low side considering dump, mid pipe and tune. Standard mufflers will certainly be holding it back a little IMO

Not sure why you're disappointed with that?

It comes down to a difference in drive, and given mine "only" made 230hp and 333nm, and I know how much of a difference in drive it made, I don't think you've got anything to be disappointed about? (and thats with hi-tech mufflers and silicon intake as well)...

Another example of people reading way too much into a dyno figure... ? It's a tuning tool...

Yer, I suppose your right Jimmy....it's certainly a diff car now that gets up and goes.

Some Hitechs or Phat quads next on shopping list to open up the exhaust.

Come now, that's pretty darn good for stock! :D But yes, a bit of TBE treatment to help it breathe better is a definite must if you're looking for more power.

Yer, I know what you're saying Jim but I would have thought the torque figure would've been a bit higher, based on other members results with similar mods.

As far as TBE, I already have a Phat DP, 3" centre pipe and 2.5" Y pipe, so I'm thinking the only thing restricting zorst from being a "FULL free flowing exhaust" is the stock STI cans :?: :?:

Oh! and also have Tomei spec EL headers...would've thought they would also be a bonus for clearing those zorst gases?

Hitechs anyone?

Lozza I reckon the stock tmic is holding you back at this point.

?

I was surprised to see the oem headers and up pipes are well designed, aftermarket options do not really offer much improvements in flow.

Tony- hard to tell, unfortunately the headers went on before the standard dyno run and subsequent verso tune & dyno run...but the bum dyno thinks it spools quicker.. :?:

don't know if I'm up to changing tmic yet...I'm still thinking those sti cans are holding it back a bit :?

today's project was instal of VF52 Turbo and Avo TMIC...and boy was that fun

Have to admit I'll be interested to see where the VF52 and AVO TMIC get you as well.

RE your tune - I got 213 Hp and 346 Nm at the hubs with onlt the Phat DP and HKS air filter. Everything else OEM.

Might want to consider getting onto P-WRX website for the Grimmspeed 3 port boost solenoid group buy to help control the VF52.

Hey Gambit, got the turbo from US with our strong Aussie dollar.

check out http://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay ... 09-30.html

I really wasn't looking for a bigger turbo or TMIC but you know what that mod bug is like

the beauty of the VF52 is that it is a true bolt on, it was so easy I did the conversion whilst watching the Gold Coast 600 on the garage telly..... and I'm an average spanner.

we will see Wed how good a mod it is :!:

cheers Andrew, checking out that Pwrx GB as I type.
