X Force cat back

$950

My friend just put this on her car and I did not know they had a bolt-on catback zorst for the liberty. I assume the quality is nothing special as they never get a mention on here?

Looks decent but I am assuming it will be quite loud (haven't heard friends yet)
SOLD: 263.5kw atw B4 Liberty (GT35R, 2.2 Stroker, 6spd)

NEW: Finally bought an 07 Liberty Spec B t/b STI :) and it begins....

I had a x-force exhaust on my 180sx and the quality was nothing to complain about. Wasn't overly load either. Having said that, a friend had one on his r33 and it was stupidly load.

I think it's a good option for someone on a budget, cos let's face it, exhausts for libs aren't cheap cos they're not mass produced.

You can always put a resonator in if it's too loud.

$950 was just for the exhaust (not fitted), so $1280 was fitted I presume? Gold Coast Mufflers ordered it in and fitted it for her.

I asked if I could just get the centre and Y pipes but they only sell as a whole :( (Catback inc mufflers)

It was $1200 for the system from performance pipes at mt gravatt and $80 for fitting.

With the new system coming throught from TCPAuto I think I might hold off on the Xforce system for the time being.

Yep i got one from "right price exhausts" 3 inch cat back.
its actually a forester XT kit as Xforce didn't have a MY10 Lib kit. the MY09 didn't even come close to fitting.
Forester Kit fits perfectly but needs a bit of extra stainless added on to the end of resonator.

cost $1170 all up and sounds very nice. Not loud at all, just sounds good. To be honest i would prefer if it was a bit louder more like the rexy burble ;)

also put HKS panel filter in stock airbox. the two combined give nice induction sound and slightly more BOV sound on stock system.
in short i am very happy with it. I'd like to upgrade the BOV next as the stock one leaks boost, doesn't hold it once you reach maximum.

AzzaGT.....sounds interesting mate.

Have you got more pics of your exhaust system....would love to see how it looks.

Few questions:
Are you going to do the down pipe off the turbo too?
Does your current system go all the way right up to the cat near the turbo or is up to half way?
Did you go stainless?

I had the X-force system on my MY06 XT, power was great but it was on the loudish side even with the single tip oval muffler.

Sorry mate, you will never get the rexy rumble, due to the equal length headers on the MY10.

I don't think your bov is leaking, OEM tunes will tamper boost once peak is reached…not sure about MY10, but MY08 would peak at 14-15psi and tamper down to 10psi.…. The only fix will be an aftermarket tune or boost control.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

*hope to do dump pipe and hiflow cat "eventualy" as in after warranty expires as i hear this requires a flash tune
*current system appears to go as far as the "flexi joint" after the cat. so i guess there is about 400-600mm of standard 2.5in pipe still there :(
*all polished stanless. will try and get some pics underneath during the day and attach to this post.

here's the url for the kit

:( no rexy burble
yeah i should correct that, BOV not leaking, just tapers off after peak boost is reached. I was told by the guy who i bough the HKS filter off that a HKS BOV will make it hold boost better.
i have seen dyno charts after a tune and dump pipe and really hope to do this. A little hesitant while it's in warranty however.
does anybody know of anybody who has done this to an MY10?
