Hence the wheel change!!!

I want to change the "style" of the car a bit, making it more aggressive, the scoop is part of that, now I need to either get myself some LOW offset Advan's(if they ever get back to me) or make my current wheels more "aggressive" by painting them either straight black or more likely, a dark charcoal!

This is my current thinking anyway... Things change, and I may decide to leave it as is for now and go a turbo/TMIC... but even if I do that, I'll probably still paint/powdercoat the wheels!

I understand what your now trying to do - aggression wise, but I think the silver Oz's look really good on the black car. My 2CW.

Its not that I don't like the silver U-Legz on the black car... It definitely suits it... So if I can, I will sell them on to Dave and put the 151C's on I think... But I haven't had confirmation that they have a set available!

And, if they don't then I think I'd rather hold on to the U-Legz and paint/powdercoat them in a darker colour(probably not pure black as it won't match) but a dark charcoal/gunmetal...

Soo... Progress is happening... Although, it isnt going to happen overnight!

Am in the process of placing an order for HSD Coilovers (TT's with adjustable camber top-hats). I have run 2 cars with the HSD coilovers already and been very pleased with them, as well as having a number of friends run them as well, with no negative feedback whatsoever! It also helps that the supplier is a good mate!
Only hassle is they are going to take at least 4 weeks to get here, but that can't be helped...

Also... I have got confirmation there is a set of 151C's left in stock, and with the advice of my wheel guy, will be placing an order for them in the next day or so! He is confident we can get them to fit, although we will probably machine them back a few mm to lift the offset a bit to try and reduce the amount of guard work required...
I will also powdercoat them before fitting, as I think the gunmetal suits best(although I may go a slightly different shade to the stock gunmetal from Advan)...



And if that wasn't enough... I should find out in the next week regarding a new TMIC which my car will be the guinea pig for!

I'm yet to see a set of Gen 4 headlights painted that I actually like, let alone a set of post-facelift ones... Not even considering cooking these unless I see a set that I actually think look better!

In coilover news, the TT series is not currently available due to an issue with the new strut, so I have got a set of HR's coming with the softer spring rate that would have been with the TT's! Got them for pretty much the same cost as the TT's which is a big discount on the regular price of the HR series, so I'm not complaining!

I heard that the Pedders coilovers are pretty much rebranded H&R coilovers... Have you considered getting them from Pedders, I know the H&Rs may be cheap online, but the support network warranty etc you get from pedders is priceless... I paid $2100 for mine installed with a wheel balance and 2 wheel alignments (a second wheel allignment after I had them for 1000kms). No issues so far... (had for about 5000kms)

I would never personally buy anything from Pedders, heard too many bad stories, but I'd be pretty suprised if they can sell a rebranded product cheaper than the original supplier would...

The Pedders coilovers are pretty good except for the non re-buildability part.

I drove an XR4 equipped with them on the track and they felt great. Dialed in full hard we popped out the rear lights from lifting the inside wheel This was on a set of coilovers that had seen >50,000Kms of mixed road/track use.

As for where they are made, they come from Taiwan somewhere.
