Postby Scooby-Doo » Mon Jul 26, 2010 9:30 pm

Hey all,

Going to be picking my new car (not really new) in the next couple of days and il be apart of the lib family.

Im getting a '99 my00 GX and just wondering if anyone has any idea on how to easily swapped out it is?

Only experience swapping out radios is in commodore vs.

Cheers,

Changing the head units in that generation of Liberty isn't much more difficult (If at all) then doing a Commie.

I'm pretty sure someone has posted a bit of a walk through for it :D

easy

remove the facia around the gearshift
remove ash tray
you will need a stubby philips sceew driver
there are 2 sreews where the ash tray was. they screw in upwards so grab a torch and have a look and you will see them in there
remove facia around the a/c and radio remove the radio there is 6 screws 2 on each side and 2 on the bottom

buy a plug adapter from http://aerpro.com.au/vrg.php part number ap2001 use the wrx one

this way you wont need to cut any wires

have fun

Nah they use the Nissan double diversity plug. You can buy an adapter from autobahn/supercheap etc
