Intercooler Options

Hey guys, what do you all think of this?

I have had this XR6 Turbo intercooler in the shed for a while for an old project, was clearing out the shed and was going to sell it for $50 but thought why not try installing it? As i have a mate who is willing to knock up the piping and redo the end tanks in return for a slab of beer so Zero cost for this little project.

Could it work as a TMIC or FMIC setup?

I only plan on adding a VF54 down the track and thats it, not chasing big HP rather power under the curve.

The other alternative is to bin it and pickup a Greddy/Trust FMIC and do that instead but at sufficient cost for the kit.

What do you think?

if that the case start hacking away at it...... at the end of the day if the core flows well it can be adapted to fit any car…… of course you will be testing your mates skills.

Btw you may need to reduce the size of the core if your planning on a tmic, but I think for fmic it should be just right.

yeah will work best as a fmic, however having sized it up against a Trust FMIC, its pretty small in comparison, might just go a trust front mount instead.

I know i know, the previous owner had a steep driveway and seriously bruised the front bar, I have only had the car a week and a bit, will definitely be taking it in for a respray.
