Where to buy 3M double sided tape?

I went in to supercheap auto yesterday and all they had was some generic double sided tape for 'exterior body modification' or some such.
Figured I would just use this cheap stuff to attach the HID ballasts for my fog lights in the engine bay, but wouldn't trust it on something like my roof lip spoiler.
I tried googling to no avail, where does one purchase the really good 3M stuff that people claim you need a sledgehammer to take it off once it's on.

i found some last week at office works, they had the extra heavy duty outdoor type.

Bunnings! They sell the white extra heavy duty stuff for outdoor use. Or you can get the clear ones that are still quite grippy but look more stealth because it's clear instead of white.

Also their is a brand called "Uglu" it's better but harder to find at hardware stores

You should use the 3M scotch heavy duty mounting tape. It uses high density adhesive.

To be more specific: 3M Scotch 4011 heavy duty exterior mounting tape 25.4mm x 1.51m

It's available at bunnings, and can hold upto 2.3kgs.

Just make sure you follow the instructions on the back.

I get my 3M double sided tape from a automotive signwriter.

When applied correctly, its definitely good, strong stuff. Free is even better.
