JBL MS-8: Easy additions and better sound for McIntosh.

Postby GTB Liberty » Mon Jun 21, 2010 1:01 pm

Guys,

This is a heads up for all you lot wanting bigger system or just better sound from your McIntosh without all the hassels of new dash panel , HU etc. This info came from a highly rated car installation expert in Australia and the ONLY guy who ever touches my car for the installation of anything audio or auto electrical. I'm in general NOT a JBL fan but this little box is a wonderment for all forms of installs - big, small, SQ or SPL. New amps or the ones in the MS-8.

Currently not available in AUS but I understand will be soon.

Rockford Fosgate also have one of the these "360.1". They are good to integrate but can be expensive unless you find the right priced second hand unit.

DSP processing isn't new - nor is the high level inputs. Integrating 8 amplifier channels is.

Further info - JBL Australia still is yet to confirm whether the unit will make Australia. They did suggest that it will be $1200 AUD  if they do import them here.

As such, I am most likely going to take the opportunity to get a mate to bring one back from the USA for me when he gets his. Cost . . . $610 AUD :D
