Postby Laps » Mon Jun 14, 2010 7:42 pm

Hey All,

Thnanks :)

The car is lowered (dunno if this makes a difference to what PSI should be???)

I know most people like to do 38 - 40 psi, but I find that to be a bit harsh for everyday driving. I normally just do about 36 or 37 psi. Nice and comfortable but still take corners like a madman when you want to play.

If I had 19s I would err on the side of caution and run a higher pressure to keep the sidewall from deforming so much, and protect the wheel from damage by potholes etc.

I used to run 40/42psi f/r on my stock 17s and stock suspension , but I found it bone chattering on some road corrugations with my new suspension which isn't even that stiff. I run 36/38 now and it's pretty good.

I'd say 38/40 might suit you depending how your coilovers are.

38 PSI is what I would be running in a 225/40... In fact I know of people running 40-42 PSI in them.

I'd say 40 PSI would be the go in a 35 series tyre...

Take the recommended pressures (on the sticker on the driver's b-pillar) as a minimum and work up from there.
